This is a made-up example, somewhat exaggerated to illustrate the point, and yet, sadly, it’s not that exaggerated.

ORIGINAL: She winked her eye, nodded her head, shrugged her shoulders, all the while her heart beat rapidly in her chest. She reached out her hand and grabbed the doorknob.
