I’ve promised not to use my 'Stack for heavy-handed self-promotion, but I’ll make an exception for the release of my newest novel — Bones of Dead Man’s Bluff — my first in nearly two years.
Except… it’s not officially released yet.
It is available for preorders on Amazon and your other favorite online booksellers at half price (who doesn’t love a deal?) from now through Aug. 27.
Even the most powerful men can’t prevent dark secrets of the past from washing ashore.
Worth Sullivan is the celebrity pastor of the globally renowned Harvest Fields megachurch. Kirk Madison is an esteemed former US Army general and popular US senator. Both men came from humble beginnings in the Ozarks, but today are highly successful beacons of hope and leadership in a nation torn apart by political and social divisions. Then Kirk announces he’s running for president.
Decades earlier, Worth and Kirk witnessed the death of a young girl and agreed to never speak of it. While Kirk seems to have made his peace, Worth still dreams of the dead girl every night. The deep forensics of presidential campaigns makes it likely this indiscretion will soon come to light—taking down Kirk’s campaign, destroying Worth’s life, and possibly pushing the nation into full-blown civil war. Can Worth set things right, or will the dead girl seek justice on her own?
A gripping narrative of skillfully woven perspectives and time periods, Bones of Dead Man’s Bluff is at once a thrilling mystery and an inside look at the inner workings of the American political machine, the casual insidiousness of the media, the influence of religion, and the inequity of the justice system that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Official launch date is Aug. 28. E-book only to start, but the paperback for you Luddites like me will be available shortly thereafter.
So here’s the deal: For three bucks, you can buy it now and it will be delivered to your device on Aug. 28.
And yes, it is the first suspense/thriller genre novel I’ve ever written. Thing is, I didn’t know that’s what I was writing. I was just doing my usual thing with contemporary fiction and then some early readers and my editor said, “This is suspense/thriller genre.”
Who knew? I didn’t.
Of course, I hope you love it. And of course, I hope you’ll leave an honest review on Amazon and any other book and reader sites you frequent, like Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, etc., and share it with on your social media and with your friends, family, neighbors, and strangers you pass on the street.
I've been waiting for this! Preordering today. Congrats Robb.
