Where do I find an editor?
I’ll start with where not to find an editor:
Walmart parking lot
A website where someone offers to edit your novel for five bucks
A website where someone promises they can make you a bestselling author for only $10,000
Your mother who is a retired high school English teacher
Your unemployed brother-in-law who loves to read when he’s sober
The best way to find an editor is through other writers. Word-of-mouth and personal experience. If you’re in a critique group, ask for recommendations. Ask your social media network.
