Now, back to our story.
A writer was married to a highly successful doctor and research biologist. She worked long hours, and on top of that, was expected to attend various functions, including fundraising events and banquets that required formal evening attire.
She would often cajole her husband to put away his laptop, put on his tuxedo, and attend with her rather than making her go alone.
He preferred nothing more than to stay home and write, clean house and cook meals. But occasionally he relented because he loved his wife dearly.
On one such occasion, he reluctantly donned his tux to attend a cocktail party with his wife. Some big, important event for the hospital.
