We’d like to thank you for submitting your manuscript titled ‘2022’ for our consideration, however, we won’t. We won’t represent you. We won’t even thank you for submitting to us.
While there were certainly interesting elements in your story, ultimately we have decided it wasn’t for us. You did a good job with rising tension, but too many scenes built up obstacles that were never addressed before the story jumped to another, unrelated and even more dire crisis. Entire plot threads disappeared without satisfactory resolution and were never mentioned again. Many of these critical scenes lost our interest because they were entirely unbelievable, even for fiction.
Instead of world-building the setting for your story, it often seemed more ‘world-destroying’ instead, but we didn’t find the story compelling enough to care if the world ended in a fiery explosion, deadly plague, envir…
